Central Asia is a crib of culture and it has been since more than two millennia. This resulted in formation of millenary cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva which were important sites along the Silk Road. Uzbekistan located centrally in the Central Asia territory is filled with architectural monuments which date millennia back. The country was raided by the likes of Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and Tamerlane. It’s literally an oriental gem that still seems to be stuck in time with its ancient beauty.
