A rock-dammed lake in the Terskey Alatau mountain range, Ala Kul lies at an altitude of approximately 3560 meters in the Ak-Suu District of the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. Rocks of different colours create beautiful shades below the lake waters.

Important Things And Equipment For The Trek

  • Sleeping bag to combat temperatures up to -5 degrees.
  • Waterproof rain jackets and trousers for the early morning and evening showers.
  • Warm and extra clothes for changes.
  • Hats or caps, sunglasses and a high factor sun cream to prevent sun burns.
  • Quality trekking boots with proper ankle support and good threadwork. Carry extra shoes or a pair of open sandals during the wet season and during the rain and etc.
