Uzbekistan will host the “Boysun bahori” international folklore festival

On May 7-8 this year in Boysun district in the village of Solim Padang will be an open folklore festival “Boysun bahori”, during which the centuries-old folk values and traditions are sung.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize and conduct an international folklore festival “Boysun bahori” on February 7 this year, the traditional festival with costumes and old melodies will be attended by over 200 representatives of folk groups operating in the country.

As part of the festival scheduled competitions in national wrestling, ethnic sports, cycling marathons, goat kupkari, throwing leaves, tug-of-war, chilak and other folk sports.
Currently, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Surkhandarya Regional Khokimiyat and other partner organizations are making intensive preparations for the high-level folklore festival.

At the end of the festival will be awarded the best folklore and ethnographic teams, winners of sports and folk games.

For information: Charming Baysun, which people all over the world like, was recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of “Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” and in 2008 was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
