Your questions, answered
Which countries are the Five Stans?
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. All three journeys below cover these five countries.
What is the difference between the three tours?
The 16-day Odyssey and 25-day Expedition are group tours. The 23-day Grand Expedition is a separate private tour. The 23- and 25-day journeys are different products; compare their full day-by-day itineraries before choosing.
How should I choose a trip for my comfort needs?
Review walking distances, steps, long drives, border crossings and remote overnight stays with the team before booking. Ask about room access, bathroom arrangements, luggage handling and dietary requirements for your selected departure. Suitability depends on the route and your individual needs.
Are visas and border crossings the same for everyone?
Entry requirements depend on nationality, travel dates and route. Ask the team to check the requirements for your passport, including Turkmenistan documentation, before making non-refundable travel arrangements. Entry approval cannot be guaranteed.
