    Kazakhstan Medication & Vaccinations

If you visit Kazakhstan, then you must be prepared. You have a chance to get affected by different diseases. If you have a good set of preventive measures then, you won't get affected by any disease. There are so many diseases which can be prevented by vaccination. The main thing, in this case, is to remember where and when vaccination is to be done. You will get to know about the periods of vaccination, and the possible side effects and diseases will arise from the refusal from vaccination. All required vaccinations, assigned to the particular population groups are given free of charge at the expense of local and national budgets.

    Vaccination

There are some vaccinations, which are required for all the people, like Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Typhoid fever, as well as medications for travellers who may suffer from diarrhoea. All travellers should be aware of tetanus-diphtheria vaccination. Other immunizations may be necessary depending upon the circumstances of the trip and the medical history of the traveller. All travellers should take the vaccination 4-8 weeks prior to the journey. The vaccination you must take care, Tetanus-Diphtheria should be taken by all the travellers who haven't received a tetanus-diphtheria immunization in the last 10 years. Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Typhoid vaccinations are recommended for all travellers. For children, Polio is recommended and it is also recommended for any adult traveller who completed the childhood series but never had polio vaccine as an adult. Trekkers and mountaineers are always at high risk of animal bites or bat injuries. They must take preventions for Rabies. #### Medications

Diarrhoea is the most common travel-related disease. Travelers must take proper precautions when food and water are concerned. The travellers should bring an antibiotic and an antidiarrheal drug. The antibiotic will also help in the prevention of nausea, vomiting, cramps, fever or blood in the stool. If diarrhoea became more severe and bloody or if high fever occurs with shivering anxieties, or if stomach pain becomes high and marked, or if diarrhoea continues for more than 72 hours, medical attention will be required. Most expatriates go to the VIP Hospital in Almaty or the International SOS Clinic in Almaty or Atyrau. Both the VIP Hospital and International SOS offer 24-hour emergency care. Many doctors and hospitals will expect payment in cash, regardless of whether you have travel health insurance. Serious medical problems will require air evacuation to a country with state-of-the-art medical facilities.
