After gaining independence in 1991 from the Soviet Union, Uzbekistan adopted an independent foreign policy which facilitated tourism and foreign investment into the country. Subsequently international laws were implemented which were in alignment with the best of the interest of the state to aid the cooperation in international economic and financial organizations.
Since its independence, more than 100 countries have recognized this young state and have expressed their interest in developing strong economic and cultural ties with Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan since its inception has taken giant strides towards the development of tourism infrastructure and is now the most visited country in Central Asia. It is a regular attendee in almost every major tourism fairs around the world and till date has 32 embassies around the world.
